Description of Strategy
GAMCO Natural Resources, Gold & Income Trust is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund intends to generate income from short-term gains primarily through its strategy of writing covered call options on the equity securities in its portfolio. Because of its primary strategy the Fund forgoes the opportunity to participate fully in the appreciation of the underlying equity security above the exercise price of the option. Under normal market conditions, the Fund will attempt to achieve its objectives by investing 80% of its assets in equity securities of companies principally engaged in natural resource and gold industries.
Investment Objective
The Fund’s investment objective is to provide a high level of current income. The secondary objective is to seek capital appreciation.
