Daniel Barasa joined Gabelli Funds in 2022 as an analyst covering the pharmaceuticals, insurance, value-based care and life sciences (CROs) industries. Previously, he worked as an actuary at Cigna and New York Life.

Daniel graduated summa cum laude from Berea College with a BA in Economics and Mathematics and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
