Christopher Matthiessen serves as Vice President and Investment Consultant at Gabelli, where he works closely with RIAs and intermediary relationships across DC, MD, NC and VA representing the firms ETF, SMA and Mutual Fund strategies. In his previous role, Chris served as a portfolio analyst for the firm’s merger arbitrage strategies, monitoring global mergers and acquisition activity.

Chris joined the firm directly following graduation from Fairfield University in 2017, holding a bachelor’s degree in finance in addition to minors in film and economics. Based in Charlotte, NC, Chris’s passions extend beyond finance, particularly enjoying time spent outdoors competing in various athletic events, enjoying the beach or pursuing his love for aviation, in working towards obtaining his private pilot’s license.
