​Dan Lofrese is a seasoned investment professional and dedicated philanthropist based in Reno, Nevada.  He has been with Gabelli Asset Management Company (GAMCO) since 1998. 

Dan is deeply committed to enhancing educational opportunities in the Reno community.  He earned his undergraduate degree from Fordham University in 1999 and an Executive MBA from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) in 2018.  In 2015, he relocated to Reno and quickly became involved in various educational initiatives.  Dan serves on the Investment Committees of both the UNR Foundation and the Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) Foundation.  He has been a Board Trustee for the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada since 2023 and joined its Investment Committee in 2021. ​ 

Demonstrating his dedication to student development, Dan established the Dan Lofrese Liberal Arts Internship Endowment Fund at UNR.  This fund provides financial support to liberal arts students seeking real-world experience, reflecting Dan’s belief in the versatility and value of a liberal arts education.  He also supports TMCC as a 1971 Society Founders member.

In his personal life, Dan married his wife, Camellia, in 2018, and they have two daughters.  He shares insights through social media platforms, including X, related to his professional and philanthropic activities.
